How you can help support the club

Since our foundation in 2004 the IoERC has opened up rowing to the local community and we now have in excess of 100 members. The club is entirely self-funded and relies on fundraising efforts to keep afloat. Fees have been kept low so cost isn't a restriction to membership. Through hard work and dedication, we have transformed a stretch of Ely riverside, into a thriving public rowing club making the sport accessible to all including seniors, juniors and adaptive rowers.

The club offers a great opportunity for many people within the local community to get involved in rowing. We now need to build a much needed boathouse, so we can continue offering a wonderful opportunity to others in the local community.

If you would like to get involved and help us out in some way or would like to sponsor us and give some money to a good cause, please contact us. In return we can offer - advertising on our website, naming rights to club events and naming rights of a boat for large donations.

You can also support us at the click of a mouse by shopping online through Easy Fundraising or making a donation via our Just giving page (QR code below).

Please, please help the club to continue by digging deep and supporting us. Without your much needed money our development plans will grind to a halt.

Supporting the local community

Members of the club enjoy giving back to the local community. Over the years we have organised a number of fundraising events from sponsored ergs, moon light rows to rowing 80km.

During lockdown club members rowed a marathon on the ergo (indoor rowing machine), raising over £5000 for Addenbrookes Charitable Trust (ACT).
